SUMMARY: Excellent Null Case; Small Supercell with High IC Rates

TLE PREDICTION: 0.32 [0.4 x 0.80]

RESULTS: No TLEs from very high flash rate supercell in NW LMA

LESSONS: Good example of a supercell without TLEs-but many ICs

STEPS STATUS: STEPS up and then down by 2130Z..

YRFS OPERATION LOGS: On standby, full operations not conducted. However just at sunset a small, supercellular-like storm erupted about 70 km northeast of YRFS. It last about 2 hours, producing mostly negative CGs. It has rather cold cloud tops and probably had hail as it briefly reached 67 dBZ.

We shot two DV tapes with GEN III intensified or the rather spectacular ICs and some nice CGs. No TLEs noted, though the full tapes should be viewed before making a final conclusion.

STEPS OPERATIONS: STEPS shuts down early.
