JD: 00-146 DoW: WED/THU UTC Date: 25MAY2000 SUMMARY: Some Thunderstorms Around; Clouds Cancel Viewing YRFS OPS SUMMARY: Upslope flow and moisture aloft, along with fairly strong winds aloft, triggered small MCS along mountains which drifted out into plains. Also very strong convection in SE KS, but way out of range. Thick low clouds and fog made it difficult to do much with these storms, including the ones which drifted out of Denver and to the SE of YRFS between 0400-0700 Z. Did see a few spiders to the ESE around 0600 Z, but too rain wrapped to do much with them. Stanford finished set up of ELF/VLF system and telescope.
